“I was looking for someone to help my 12-year-old daughter as I had exhausted all avenues that our GP had referred us to – including CBT training. My daughter had been struggling with severe anxiety and OCD since Covid and nothing we tried was helping. It got so bad that she started to believe that she could not be helped. I reached out to a local Mum’s group on Facebook and Kate came highly recommended. I contacted Kate and she agreed to meet my daughter so that they could see if they connected. Needless to say, my daughter started her sessions with Kate and has never looked back. The change in her has been incredible and Kate has taught her how to manage her anxiety and OCD. Kate also identified characteristics of ADHD / Autism in my daughter now we are progressing this with our GP while Kate teaches her strategies to deal with situations that may arise at school. Kate also educated all the family on neurodiversity as we really didn’t understand it or how to deal with it. The change in my daughter has been incredible to see and I cannot thank Kate enough for helping her.”

“I had been putting off therapy for a while as I wasn’t convinced I needed it, or rather I was convincing myself I didn’t, even though I was aware I had experienced some trauma from my childhood and carried guilt from it into adulthood. This subsequently led to bad relationships. Therapy with Kate has completely changed the way I feel about myself. I no longer carry guilt and my self-worth has grown. This has changed the way I am in relationships and now I am able to set healthy boundaries. I didn’t realise the extent the past trauma had affected me and how low I felt had felt about myself. “Where do I start!
Therapy with Kate has changed me and helped me for good, forever. For me, the main thing about my sessions with Kate is that they have taught me so much about myself, about life and about relationships, rather than simply moving through the motions of an option like CBT. I had tried two different styles of therapy before seeing Kate; each had been helpful, but not as personalised. Kate’s therapy style is personal to everyone, and there is a real sense that Kate invests her time and efforts into helping her clients with their issues.
One of the best things about Kate as a therapist is she carefully listens, makes you feel incredibly heard, and shares her own experience in a professional and confidential manner. This makes the therapist/ client relationship with Kate strong and gives you a safe space to talk comfortably. And in turn, I began to realise how most people go through tribulations within their life. Sharing stories and experiences for me is very important.
Kate not only creates a tailored therapy schedule but has no problem with altering this if something else had arisen in the past week that you may want to discuss.
Kate acts as an aid, rather than a rescuer. Therapists aren’t magicians, but Kate does a fantastic job of helping you along to your own realisations and gives you the tools and context allowing you to learn about how you may help yourself. Instead of telling you what to do, she helps you find out for yourself what to do. She helps you through your problems and allows you to realise your own answers.
Therapy with Kate is certainly an emotional experience, evoking many feelings. I came out of the other side of our sessions feeling like a completely different person, but I had not left the old version of myself behind. Kate taught me that carrying this with me, by nurturing it and showing it how far I have come, it makes me feel whole.

I have been speaking with Kate for about 4 months and can honestly say, when I first met her, I was a mess. I could not get a handle on my emotions, I was struggling to navigate losing my business, looking after my 4 year old and running a home for my family. I had not long received an ADHD diagnosis which threw a lot more issues in to the mix.
From my first session with Kate she put me at ease. I could tell instantly that she was the right fit for me because she was clear in her approach, explaining how our sessions would play out and what each of our roles would be. I liked how direct Kate was because I needed help, I did not need someone to just sit and listen, I needed guidance and kindness and Kate gave me both.
Kate was a great listener and often I would leave her sessions feeling lighter, calmer and sometimes even empowered. Our sessions gave me a lot to think about and this helped me sort through my thoughts and emotions and re-order what was important, what I could change and what I could let go of. This for me was the biggest change.
I know that if /when I need help again, it will be Kate I go to. Thank you Kate, you’ve changed my life.

“My background – I was a newly bereaved widow whose husband passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. Six months into widow hood I knew I needed help – I was anxious, sad, grieving, painfully lonely and utterly bereft, I did not believe there was a future. I met Kate one Saturday, I was so anxious not knowing what to do or say. Kate put me at ease and the words that will I always carry with me is “there is no judgement from me”. It was as if a light started to penetrate the darkness. I am so very thankful that Kate has never given up on me. “Since the age of 16 I have experienced therapy on numerous occasions. All based on CBT (offered through NHS services) I have felt this has simply attempted to apply a plaster to the wounds without really addressing the underlying causes. Because of this I have never truly felt that previous therapy has been successful.
With Kate’s style of therapy I finally feel I am unlocking who I am and truly healing. She has been able to explain clearly, and when needed demonstrate practically to me, cycles and patterns which I have been experiencing within personal relationships. The work we have done has had a big impact on my self-belief and also how I engage with family members on a daily basis. The positive changes I am experiencing, I really feel, are taking place deep within me rather than just on the surface. Some of my biggest realisations have taken place through the writing activities, the fairy tale and the poem. Two of these provided extremely significant contributions to the work I have been doing and completely took me by surprise. I am not sure that these would have ever come to light without Kate’s methods.
I originally sought Kate’s therapy due to present day challenges which were overwhelming me. Her therapy has taken me on a journey through my life and relationships, healing these core wounds gradually, and enabling me to really understand myself. I am now experiencing more strength and clarity towards my present day challenges as a result of this and although I am mindful that there is still more work to be done, I have never experienced such progress from previous therapy. Having longed for my perfect fairy tale since childhood, I finally feel like I am taking control of my own life story and waking up from a very long sleep… Thank you x.”
